   Production Tecnology : Terephthalic acid is produced under the licence of Standart Oil Company (AMOCO) . Terephthalic acid (TA) is produced by the catalytic liquid phase oxidation of paraxylene with air. TA transforms into Purified Terephthalic acid (PTA) by hydrogenation.
